Tod has a “Bachelor of Science” degree from Southern Illinois University College (SIUE),
an “Associate in Applied Science” degree from the “Community College of the Air Force”, and
an “Associate of Science” degree from SWIC (Southwestern Illinois College). Tod is a veteran and is
retired from the United States Air Force Reserves after 22 years of service.
Tod served in the United States Air Force for three years.
Tod retired from the United States Air Force Reserves after 20 years of service
Tod worked for the Boeing Aircraft Company for 23 years.
Tod’s two daughters, brother and mother suffer(ed) from mental illness.
Tod Jurke is the President and Facilitator for DBSA (Depression Bipolar Support Alliance) of Hope-
He also served as Chair Person for the Illinois Region IV Consumer Conference Planning Committee.
Tod was also the Team Captain for the Metro East 2011 Saint Louis, The Walk for Mental Illness.
Tod served as the Metro-East Rally Coordinator for the “Walk to Washington” for depression
awareness in 2010.
Tod sets up informational tables at local Mental Health events to help raise awareness and educate
the community on mental health issues and DBSA Support Groups.
Tod is a member of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) and USPRA (US Psychiatric
