Crystal D Choate grew up in Brea CA, 10 miles from Disney Land(I LOVE Disneyland). She was always hitchhiking all over, or taking the bus, skipping school and getting bus transfers to places like San Diego and Big Bear. In her words was,”wild…i tell ya wild!”
Crystal D Choate goes on to say, “I make my self laugh even when I dont feel like it like an adrenaline rush. I focus on humour to lighten my life.”
What is your favorite book? The Four Agreements and more by Don Miguel Ruiz.
What was the last book you read? The last book i read was “Deadly Decisions” by Kathy Riechs. love Bones.
What is your favorite expression or quote? Quote – “A Bad attitude is like a Flat Tire, You can’t go anywhere until You Change it”, I have changed a lot of flats over the years, since the beginning of my recovery in 1996.
Who is your hero? My hero’s change, My Parents, Paul and Darleen Morrison are numero Uno. My children, William Choate and Kaysea McDermott. My friend Linda Morgan-Trueblood being a 4th stage cancer survivor, with spine and brain cancer. I was down there in CA when she had the porta-cath surgery in her brain. we were bad at the hospital….lol
What are you most grateful for? I am most grateful for LIFE. Being Alive, and Feeling is Life. I love Life. I have lost friends over the years and I am so grateful for my Life…and my Parents.
Crystal D Choate had her story published in Mary Ellen Copelands book, “The WRAP Story“, page 154, under the WRAP Faciltators chapter, so I had to become a facilitator and have FUN…Freinds Utilizing Networking.! (The WRAP Story, an anthology, has 82 stories written by people who recovered from mental illnesses: depression, anxiety, ADD, bipolar disorder or schizophrenia.)
